127 Mile Cycle - Liverpool/Leeds Canal

Well what was i thinking to begin with, in my head I was like I can do this but my body was telling me your insane.

I wasn't travelling alone, I had a follower due to suffering seizures.

127 miles was the number from Leeds to Liverpool along the canal pathways and i was going to cycle it all the way within 12 hours hopefully ....

So let's begin this journal at a 3am start I had just arrived in Leeds 3hrs previous so I grabbed some food and set a foot for the canal starting point were I would begin my first leg.

And the time began, I set my alarm to 3pm and every hour it went off to let me know how long I had been cycling for.

As tiredness was kicking in and my body ached after the first 3hrs, this was only because I got hit from a car 2 days prior but that wasn't going to stop me or my pain, people were relying on me, my charity I was raising funds for was relying on me, I was relying on me.

7am came I wasn't even half way but I just knew I had to keep going, the pain was agonising and the fluids just drained my body very rapidly.

10am came and i hit my half way mark, I was just coming into Liverpool reign and i had just under 5hrs to go I had to speed up and stop messing about.

12pm came and i was hitting bootle area, I can do this i was saying in my brain it just needed to keep ticking by as I got closer to the finish line.

2pm follows and I'm just about 5mile out and realising how much pain I was in was talking it's toll on me finishing on time I had to just keep going and make that 3pm deadline.

2.55pm and i was nearly there just a few more pedals and Wooohooo i made it with a minute to spare.

I got off my bike and collapsed to the floor with pain rushing through my body, fluids draining from my body and all I wanted was my bed but I achieved the biggest goal I had set for myself and that was amazing in my eyes.
