The History Behind Preston ..... Learning Walk

As a small adventure approached and Preston came to a stand still for outdoor students to spread their wings along the different cultures and backgrounds linked within the city.

The Lancaster Canal was my topic of the day and i explored the history on what, why and how the Canal came one with the earth and what it was used for.

Fact of the day - Lancaster Canal was used to transport goods along from the port to the Canal waters ...

I journeyed up onto the docks trailing my way over for a stroll along the River Rubble passing near the Sea Cadets Preston and learning about a Sail Kayak.

Onto Miller Park and finding about the bridges
and inside the Riverside park is a natural amphitheatre with a Japanese water garden, Sebastopol cannon and a cafe.

Carrying on the adventurous travels and through the buildings of the city centre adjusting back into reality there was only a couple more places to visit.

Learning and discovering history around the gas lanterns and how collera spread itself through the city of Preston was an interesting fact .....

Anyways Preston was looking like an city full of facts and history backgrounds and cultures behind the hidden city within England.

Onto the Centotaph and Church on Church Street of course, big places and factual facts behind them all.

That ends the blog for today and as adventure picks it's history and becomes one with travel it's not always about discovering it through words but with pictures as from a photo a discovery, adventure and a travel can be discovered.

Under The Sea We Shall Go ......

It's always nice to have a little adventure into the unknown and seek out the water creatures that live upon this earth.

My birthday weekend took me on an adventure to the mystery island of the Blue Planet Aquarium were I discovered many different species of slimy, slippery fish.

Spotty, strippy and even transparent were among the fascinating creatures living among us.

An adventure comes with all sorts of imagination and things wrapped around the world whilst learning how to discover what we are and who we are even If it does only mean traveling to an aquarium.

Sharks I think are an amazing creature and learning facts about them was creative and imaginative to discover that they are actually a harmless fish.

As the new year settles in and i take on new adventures and travels along the way, I hope to discover more about the different cultures and backgrounds around nature and adventure and travel miles away from home to discover a new beginning.

Intergration Day- Outdoor Groups Come as 1

It's January 2019 and our outdoor adventure groups were joining as ONE, that's nearly 50 people on one site combining there skills together.

As it was 3rd years running the session, team building and activities were on the agenda .................

Doing the different challenges were a big struggle for me as I have sensory issues so to much noise and people can be a lot to handle in my brain.

Activity after activity, session after session and talk after talk I discovered the meaning of the outdoors and what it means to not only me but to others too

As my day went by and the adventurous skills came to an end, it was time to sit down with my lecturer and discuss my modules for 2nd year, I had two mandatory and 1/2 optional

My heart is set on Expedition as I love to travel and experience different cultures and backgrounds around nature and adventure.

Keep tuned as my trip back to Plas Y Brenin takes a new turn into Mountaineering and i explore the different Mountains of Wales and stay focused as I train for my big climbs by taking it step by step.
