History Within A Ship

0500 and I woke up 2hrs before my actual alarm, so instead of trying to go back to sleep I got up, yoga and meditation and then of course a cup of tea 🍵, you cant go wrong with a cup of tea when you wake up, anyways ...... onto the actual reason why I was up early it was the day I was going to explore The Duke of Lancaster "the fun ship", with my bag packed with camera equipment, snacks of course and my little welsh book, I was off to start this journey into history

Of course we are still in mask city so protection is key even when heading to an amazing destination, 2hrs later i made it to this ........

The Duke of Lancaster, a ship that has been docked for 41 years and possibly alot longer for the foreseeable future but let's just see what happens ey ......

Traveling down to the actual ship was the hardest bit of this trip as you couldnt actually get to the other side or could as it was boggy and sinky due to wet weather but were there was a way, there is a will, it did involve crossing the river canal section and getting wet shoes 👞 🤔, was it worth it ..... YES it was

Yes I couldn't access the inside ...... well not yet, I'm working on that by sending emails and messages out to the owner of the ship but he lives in Romania along with the guy who actually looks after the ship itself.

Isn't it just a magnificent vessel how could the council be arguing with the owner to actually not be able to restore this, the insode apparently had the same fixtures and fittings that were installed in 1956, all the owner would like it turned to was a "funship" for members of the public to make the most of this amazing historical ship 🚢

A few photos from the history behind on how The Duke of Lancaster ended up being docked where it is today.

A short blog today but photos show it all, adventures are just like time and time eventually ticks by and one minute its there and the next its gone, keep the adventures going as long as time goes you will seek out to explore, travel and discover many more adventures along the way just as im 😊

Adventure Awaits Again

0645 was the time I set my alarm, with the last few things to pack it was time to begin that adventure again 4 days on Menai Bridge/Anglesey .... a new adventure for me, a place I've never stayed at but with my unusual crashing site Plas Y Brenin shut for residential at the moment (I know right, kinda sucks) but eventually nature will call and I shall come and place my feet within the grounds again but until then, follow me into the unknown as I take on a big adventure filming and shooting some amazing historical photos of Dinorwic Slate Quarry (weather dependent) who am I kidding im an outdoor adventure kinda girl, I live for the rain 🌧 😄 I've never been afraid of adventure but nervousness is creeping up slightly due to the fact of not having that adventure kick every week 😅

Im so glad i only have to wear this on Public Transport i dont like anything around my face, i feel like im suffercating, technically i am seriously ashmatic and a seziure disorder so have to be careful with temperature but i do it for not my benefit for other people's benefits as I don't know if I'm a carrier or this virus of COVID-19 and im not taking that risk either catching it as it would actually put me at more harm due to my medical condition,  every now and then I do take it off just to breathe and control that temperature but I know what I'm doing and know how to deal with it kinda 😅 #im far too warm under this
#the law #the rules

3 trains to from were i live, Kirkdale to Liverpool City Centre, City Centre to Chester and then Chester to Bangor, 2hr5minutes it will take but its worth every effort to restart my adventures back up again.

🚆 One decided to turn up before i could get a photo of it, i just turned round to pick up my gear and poof it was there.

                             🚆  TWO
Anyways whilst I am on the train, I'll give you a quick update on what its like not adventuring every day 🙃, with the outdoors its not just a healthy life style for the body but also for the mind, the outdoors is everything to me, the adventures, the travels and the unknowness of whats the next journey, it helps my mental health, anxiety and autism also it helps medically with the healing process of my brain injury, being stuck indoors for nearly 4 months with the odd occasion of going out because I couldn't face the fact of 24hrs/7days a week being stuck indoors, now that my adventures are starting up again slowly I can start to improve everything and start again, i like routine, I don't like change, I like structure ..... THATS JUST ME.

With university going online and my Plas Y Brenin Adventuresnot starting till at least January, routine is a must for me and the struggle is unreal, I try to hide it as much as i can because I don't like it impacting on anyone else's life but inside its hard work just having to go from planning the year in your head and having that routine for over 6 months to now having to plan week by week or even day by day but as I take on the new adventures, travels and among other wonderful and mysterious things I take time to meditate and relax my brain for for the #new normal
Final train decided to change platform so had to run for that one and what a surprise the people on the tanoy didn't decide to announce it 😐 oh the joys of public transport

Well finally made it and went for a little walk along the coast as it was a nice afternoon tommrows adventure takes me to Llanberis way as I search for the miners houses and discover the history that was once there

Tuesday 21st July 2020
Time: 0700
Mood: Tired

Yoga and meditation this morning with a bit of last minute planning as I head for the hills and make my way to Llyn Padarn and Llanberis Path to explore the miners sheds and discover a bit of history behind them all

Public transport at its best again 0814 the first of three was supposed to show nope didn't manage to get off Menai Bridge till 0840 now that set my schedule back so instead of getting to my destination for 0944 like planned and having nearly 4hr time to explore I will get there at 1114 with possibly only 2hrs to explore and do some filming .... I CANNOT WAIT TO DRIVE 🙄

1106 and finally made it to the destination I was supposed to dock at 1hr15minutes ago but thats the joys of public transport in North Wales

After a 10 minute little march towards to the Llyn Padarn and Llanberis Path Viewpoint, I found what I have been looking for, for the past month or two I have searched high and low for these houses, everytime I hit a point on the map, i must of took a different direction as i could never find them but WOW look at them arnt they just fascinating buildings, just imagine this, miners stayed each week here to then walk down to Llanberis and start working in the Quarries, they were magnificent workers with them earning only 70 pence (money currency back then) over the five days, that doesn't seem alot really does it.

Not only were they earning less than a pint of milk nowadays they were the most kindest and nicest people on thus earth, with them helping each other out and making sure they all met there target, you couldn't ask for better workers could you 😀

I managed to get the footage I needed along with a nice nature walk and a top quality view 👌

Day 3

0700 and it was time to do some meditation and yoga and instead of inside, I took the opportunity outside whilst it was dry but muggy

The view in Menai Bridge is fantastic 👏 along the promenade I am staying near is beautiful 😍

A day off today of relaxation, with a nature walk 🚶‍♂️ in the afternoon, mental health is a nightmare sometimes but I try my best to get through the hard times by exploring the outdoors

Well relaxtion turned into going to find a nature park that was filled with these magnificent animals and creatures .... WOW definitely a stress reliver tool, animals definitely help with mental health

this little fella was my friend
Home time tommrow and it doesn't feel like it's been 4 days and im gonna miss being in Wales but hopefully get up here in August again for a bit of camping/glamping this time

But untill then one thing i shall mention is dont let anyone get the best of you, discover your dreams and make the best adventure you can because you are perfect, amazing and beautiful and you are worth everything that you are to anyone 🤗
