Factories, Adventure And Mountain Rescue Places

The DMM factory was the beginning of our journey from the making to the finishing touches, stamping there territory into the climbing gear. Oily floors and hot machinery consisted along the tour.

Plas Y Brenin an adventure and outdoor place was our list of things to get through, walking through the history of people who had been in charge of the centre for nearly 65 years. Indoor swimming pool to practice kyacking rolls and other interesting facts about the stores and the gear

Our final pit stop was Mountain Rescue, gear, landrovers and stories was all brought to our attention, learning about the different incidents and what to do about stuff was fascinating in a way.
The moral of this blog is if your an outdoor enthusiast get your self out their and visit these places I guarantee there worth it

Vikings On The Wirral

Greetings from planet earth, did you know the sky is blue, with that said here is what we did today ..........

Royden Park they called it, into the valleys and across the streams we trekked through mushy mud and walked along cliff edges.

We scrambled up Thor Rock getting stuck into the grooves and carving our territory.

Hot chocolate was on the agenda and a nice stroll through the quiet garden of peace.

As we powered through the walk we came across a really hairy horse with a moustache and powered through the spikey gorse Owchie.

Our final decend was a casual walk along the West Kirby Marine Lake and Hilbre Island looked at us.

To be continued ...............

Microsoft Office HQ UK - 2017

Well were to start how about the 4 1/2 hour drive down to the Microsoft HQ, sign after sign passing by as I made my way to Reading spending the night in a Premiere Inn.

We finally arrived after stopping for food and a stretch for our legs........ The night consisted of a relaxing evening followed by a three course meal. I tried something new it was called camembert or something like that which was a warm cheese with bread rolls, it wasn't the best thing I've ever tried but it was something new, next was a garden burger, doesn't sound edible or amazing but that's the joys of not eating meat and after eating all that I finished of with a berry meringue sundae which was delicious ........
Sleep was well needed and as the day turned to night I went to bed for a well deserved rest ..........
Morning had arised and breakfast was on the agenda to start my busy day and the visit to the Microsoft HQ. Finishing off this lets talk about the trip its self.

Microsoft HQ wow its huge 5 buildings spread across 1/4 of a mile and as high as three floors throughout the whole building, I would get lost if I worked there. Our guided tour guide was Sean, he was an apprentice at Microsoft.

After a quick introduction to himself and his other team buddy's also a presentation by Mark a CEO of Microsoft & a Governor at Hugh Baird College, I made my way with the group and the two John's through the 5 buildings.

Building two was were I started as that's were we started at the beginning, walking through to building 3,4,5 was absolute amazing, cafe's, restaurants and loads of coffee's and tea machines along the journey, oh did I forget to mention they have their own onsite doctor, therapy room and massage area, WOW well I didn't expect that.

As the day went by things happened and we traveled to the Xbox section, the library, and finally the HOLOLENSE section, yes I got to test the Hololense, out of our group we were the first people from the North West to try the Hololense and what can I say, it was AMAZING, FANTASTIC and AWESOME, three words to explain it wasn't just the start of it, I got to test it and place holograms around the room WOOP WOOP ..........

Food was on the agenda next, usual stuff sandwiches, crisp and fruit........

My next plan was we had to create a new piece of technology that would benefit the world. I got paired up with Nathan and we created the MACRO CHAIR, it had heated senses to control body temperatures, back pain no problem the MACRO CHAIR has a sensor to detect back pain. Drinks getting cold or warm, the MACRO CHAIR has that built in, it will warm up your drink or keep your drink cold, by using your smart phone you can do all this via an app.

It's final insulation to this magnificent chair was it had surround sound speakers and a hand remote that you control via your hand and has a voice activation which it will find the movie/series that your looking for, if this hasn't amazed you then stick with your simple boring chair. For £900 it can be yours .........

The day passed and we got to do many other unbelievable things and finally we all piled in the van and 5 1/2 hours later we arrived home after an amazing 2 days .............

ANOTHER TRIP TICKED OFF MY LIST

Moel Famau

Many times I have been up this place and once again I was walking it, this day was the second time I had been up here since starting my second year in college.

This time we had tutor Mark and his sidekick dog called Floss and of course the team myself, crazy Craig, music mark and the girls of course Fae and Niamh.

It's not a mountain but it definitely felt like one, there are so many different routes going up and down this hill called Moel Famau, it was only 562m high but it felt like 1000m.

The day consisted driving near Loggerheads to park the mini bus and get geared up, OMG they have a park with swings and slides 😂, this is just the kid side of my brain kicking in, anyways we were booted and suited with our rucksacks full of food and spare clothes and other bits and bobs we needed through the day.

The weather was bright and clear and maps were issued to us to guide us round the magnificent hill full of trees, rocks and at the top of it was some kind of castle which had degraded over time.

Map reading is hard as I thought to myself trying to find my way through the nucks and crannys but that was the fun part as well.

Eventually after the hill climbing and the weather changing dramatically we had reached the top of Moel Famau and quickly got down to the mini bus as the winds decided to pick up to approx 20 miles

To the next adventure stay tuned there will be more to follow.
