Institute of Outdoor Learning Conference

Well 0400 start to a long and interesting day ahead of me, my usual routine of yoga, meditation and  positive thoughts with a nice cup of flask tea to kick start an early morning for me is always good.

I was off on my travels to visit the University of Cumbria which the IOL NW Conference (institute of outdoor learning north west) was being held

0720 and I met up with the boys and lecturer who were also attending and with an 1hr and 30 min drive, discussions were conducted on what we wanted to do and get from the workshops taking place

Morning session for me was a little hour workshop that concluded of "Outdoor Music, for joy, for connection, for everyone" and to my liking it was very interesting to learn about how you can bring music to the groups and learners that you teach in the outdoor industry

You cant go wrong with a view especially when it's a nice fresh and breezy day in Ambleside

Lunch and snack time was on the agenda and then back for a final workshop before home time

Afternoon: "Mental Health First Aid" as for this sensitive subject it was nice to learn a new perspective on what you would do and what you wouldn't do and with little role play sessions along the way, coming out of that with a new view was fascinating

Until next time, remember your worth it explore new things in life and become the person who you are desired to be and let nobody step into your shoes, you are who you are.

My next adventure takes me back to North Wales for Mountaineering week with University and the Plas Y Brenin crew
